Library District moving project, 2021-22

The Library District headquarters moved from the Old Bisbee High School (100 Clawson Ave.) to the Cochise County complex at 1415 W. Melody Lane in November 2021.

Supply chain challenges have delayed the delivery of new shelving, so the Library District collection (approximately 17,000 items) remained in storage at the old location until May 2022.  As of May 12, shelving is partially installed and books have arrived at the new building.  Library staff are working to get the shelving completed as soon as possible.

Until the move is complete, items housed at the Library District show a location of "Storage," and are not available for holds.

Other Library District services, like the courier, homebound delivery, and interlibrary loan support, are operating from the new offices on Melody Lane.

If you have questions about the library move or the Library District collection, please contact Library District Director Amadee Ricketts ( / 520-432-8935).
