What it is
The Northstar learning platform teaches basic skills needed to use a computer and the internet in daily life, employment, and higher education.
The Northstar Digital Literacy program is a free self-guided online set of assessments that show your ability to perform basic computer tasks. Northstar offers assessments and training in these areas:
- Essential Computer Skills
- (Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows, Mac OS)
- Essential Software Skills
- (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs)
- Using Technology in Daily Life
- (Social Media, Information Literacy, Career Search Skills, Your Digital Footprint)
